Using the latest research, this talk will focus on the benefits of a holistic approach to addictions treatment. Focusing on the four practices of gentle movement, self-massage, breath work and meditation, this presentation will cover the benefits of holistic treatment and the strategies on how to incorporate these practices into a client’s life, not only at the primary care level, but also as part of a continuing care spectrum after leaving treatment.

Presenter:Will Boyce, MEd, HHC, is the founder and Director of the Mountainside Mind Body Spirit Program. Mountainside is an integrative care treatment center that is gaining national attention for its innovative and individualized approach to treatment and for incorporating into its evidence-based program, a strong holistic approach. Will is a certified Integral Qigong and Tai Chi Teacher, a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, a certified Holistic Health Counselor, and the creator of both Heart Centering Movement and Healer Within Recovery. He is a graduate of the Shalem Institute in leading contemplative prayer and retreat leader training. He has been at Mountainside Treatment Center for ten years and has a deep commitment to introducing the larger treatment world to holistic, integrative treatment.
